[ . . . Well. It's not easy for anyone like them to ask a relative stranger for help, but still, Carl doesn't blame Daryl for looking for help. So Carl does his best not to sound judgemental, but text is hard, so he's a little slow in replying. ]

it is to me. there's no need to hide things from me daryl. i'm not going to be mad about anything. i just want to know about the big picture when dooku goes up on my door again and ask for some stupid thing, which he will.
[Daryl's been trying to say no the only way he knows how with family anymore. He can't just say 'no' outright. He can say he can't do something when it's really bad for him. But he can't just say 'no' without giving a reason. Hell the closest he came to doing that was just to shut up and walk away, pretend it wasn't said. And that wasn't exactly an option here. In text. Ignoring it would make Carl think something had happened to Daryl and the kid wasn't going to give up on getting the information.
And Daryl didn't want that to lead to Carl asking Dooku what happened just to figure it out.
Reluctantly, very reluctantly, he typed out:]
Asked him for money for the house we're getting. He didn't have it. Told me who did. Name ain't one you're going to like.
[Daryl didn't know anything about Jesse except what he'd heard from Carl, so he had no reason not to assume it was perfectly normal for the man to have that kind of money.]
[ Carl mulled this over. Once again, Carl's perception of Dooku is off. He's isn't some old man getting into politics, is he? Is he playing Carl? It sounded like Dooku is more on Jesse's side than Carl's at this point, if he's so confident in pointing Daryl in Jesse's direction for borrowing money. And Carl is not even going to consider the fact that apparently Jesse has enough cash to throw away millions if asked.
However, Carl doesn't feel comfortable in voicing his opinions right now, not when he's unsure about it all. It's like with Chilton all over again, and it turns out Carl was wrong in suspecting him. ]

also my interviews went fine as they could have. kinda curious what the reports said but we'll know when its finalized. found anyone interesting?
[Not that Carl's dad hadn't been compelling back in the day, with the way he tried to retain the moral core of don't kill the living. But the rules changed and he changed with them. Still had his code, was still a good person. Just knew when not to lecture no more.]
